District 3 Commissioner Don Stisher: Serving the County Since 1996
Commissioner Don Stisher serves District 3, which encompasses all of southern Morgan County from the south-side city limits of Hartselle to the Cullman County line. The district stretches west to east from Bankhead Forest bordering Lawrence County through the communities of Andrews Chapel, Massey, Lebanon, Round Top, Lacon, Town of Falkville, Leesdale, McGlathery Town, Cold Springs, Gandy’s Cove, Union Hill Church Community, Oden Ridge, Eva, Lawrence Cove, Rock Creek, Gum Pond, and the foothills of Ryan Mountain on the eastern edge leading into District 4.
Primary Duties
Maintaining roads and right-of-way
Managing the District 3 budget
Collaborating with fellow commissioners and chairman to ensure county departments have adequate funding to provide services for all residents
Working with other municipalities, including Falkville and Eva, on projects to improve the quality of life of residents
Partnering with eight volunteer fire departments on various projects

Commissioner Stisher and his wife, Van Foote Stisher, owner of Van’s Barber Shop, reside in Falkville. They have one daughter and one grandson.
